Masla Out at Gucci
(NEW YORK) Giulia Masla, director of worldwide public relations and events for Gucci, is leaving the company today after nearly 20 years. Masla was hired as public relations manager for Italy in 1990, and has been serving in her current post since 1995, working all the while alongside designers Tom Ford, Alessandra Facchinetti, Frida Giannini and execs Domenico De Sole, Mark Lee, and Patrizio Di Marco, the brand’s current CEO.
Masla is just one in a slew of PR higher-ups who have shifted recently and George Kolasa resigned as SVP of communications at Armani for the same position at Burberry, and just yesterday, Massimo Veneziano Broccia was named Roberto Cavalli’s new executive director of global communications. Gucci's own VP of public relations Charlotte Blechman left the company earlier this month.
