Supper at Sunset
(NEW YORK) So you've been spending a lot of time, late-night, at the Standard Hotel's so-called "Boom Boom Room." Starting next week, you'll have a legit excuse to do your pre-partying there are well. Come Monday, Andre Balazs' destination boite will begin serving small plates and other assorted nibbles from 4-9 p.m. in a menu known as "Sunset Supper." Chef David Malbequi, whose nickname really is "Boom Boom," has conceived the dishes, which are all different from the fare served at the Standard Grill. (Malbequi is a recent vet of BLT Market.) Expect a raucous dessert bar as well as plenty of savory treats to counter the Manhattans. As of Tuesday, the soft opening is underway, but a reservations number and Opentable.com system will be set up by next week. Naturally, we'll send the info your way.
