A Bally Return
(NEW YORK) Bally former shoe buyer Paulette Garafalo has returned to the company with a brand-new position: chief executive officer. Garafalo, who worked for the company in the ‘80s as the U.S. women’s shoe buyer and merchandiser, spent nearly 10 years with Bally before branching out, eventually putting in time at Ferragamo and Hickey Freeman. However, the company announced yesterday that Garafalo has once again joined the Swiss luxury house as chief executive officer of Bally Americas.
Bally was founded in 1851 by brothers Carl Franz and Fritz Bally. Brian Atwood currently serves as creative director for the company, which was bought in April 2008 by the Labelux Group, though rumors swirled recently that the designer would step down by the end of the year.
