(NEW YORK) After two successful shows in Milan, it’s back to business for the team at the Armani Group--but not without a few key changes. The company has announced that, effective January 1, 2010, several management changes will go into effect. Gianni Gerbotto, currently general manager of Giorgio Armani S.p.A., will leave that position and join the Board of Directors, where he will oversee the company’s financial management and investments. John Hooks will also join the Board of Directors for the new year; Hooks, currently deputy general manager, will be named deputy chairman of Giorgio Armani S.p.A. and will be responsible for global commercial strategy and markets and brand development. Finally, Livio Proli, who is currently the general manager of Giorgio Armani’s controlled subsidiary Simint S.p.A., will take Hooks’ former position as general manager of Giorgio Armani S.p.A., where he will oversee operational and commercial management.
