Lindsay Lohan to Ungaro
(NEW YORK) It seems her 6126 leggings line was just the beginning. After rumors swirled months ago that Lindsay Lohan would come on board at Emanuel Ungaro (sparking more rumors that her would-be appointment was the reason for Esteban Cortazar’s departure), the young starlet has been named artistic advisor at the brand. Estrella Archs, who has worked for the likes of Nina Ricci, Emilio Pucci, Christian Lacroix, and Prada, will assume the role of chief designer.
“Twenty-first Century muses are extroverts whose personal style and experience gives them a strong creative and artistic focus,” said Ungaro president Mounir Moufarrige. “Thus was our vision of combining the eye of a fashion creator (Ms. Archs) with the eye of the ultimate luxury consumer, a celebrity (Ms. Lohan).” The two have been collaborating on a spring 2010 collection, to be shown in just a few weeks during Paris Fashion Week.
