Sing For Your Chic
(NEW YORK) You’ve already heard about Oscar de la Renta crooning at the Carlyle and Hamish Bowles performing Noel Coward songs at Juicy Couture (oh, how you wish you could be in 10 places at once), but they’re not the only ones who will sing for the crowds of chicsters on Fashion’s Night Out. At Elie Tahari’s SoHo boutique, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be serves while shoppers browse the new fall collection--and enjoy a bit of music from Alexa Ray Joel (that’s right, the genetically-blessed daughter of model Christy Brinkley and music legend Billy Joel).
Meanwhile, at the Kiehl’s flagship on Third Avenue and 13th Street, the Kiehl's Karnival will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of its cult-favorite Lip Blam #1. Celebrity performances are still being kept under wraps, but partygoers are invited to participate by singing themselves. Brave guests can sing karaoke for a free Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1--so start practicing your “Bohemian Rhapsody” now…
