Women on Top

(NEW YORK) With all the buzz about Fashion’s Night Out growing every day, we’re exhausted before it’s even begun. Luckily, Town & Country is throwing a refreshingly non-fashion-centric evening the night before to celebrate Women Who Make A Difference. T & C editor Pamela Fiori and special guest of the evening Stefanie Graf (tennis legend and wife of the equally legendary Andre Agassi), along with Longines, will fête three women dedicated to helping children. Deloris Jordan--the mother of Michael Jordan--will be honored for her James Jordan Foundation (names after her late husband), which supports literary scholarship programs, mentoring, and school administrations. Leila de Bruyne, another honoree of the evening, started the organization Flying Kites after  founding a small orphanage in Africa at age 19, and Lorri Unumb is a South Carolina-based advocate for getting state-mandated insurance funding for Autism treatment and therapy. Cocktails, dinner, and the awards ceremony will be held at Hearst Tower.
