Chuck Bennett Returns to IMG in Bigger Role
(NEW YORK) Chuck Bennett is back at IMG. After resigning from his position as corporate SVP and head of IMG Fashion in February 2009, the 28-year veteran of the company has rejoined IMG in an entirely new role. Effective immediately, he will serve as senior advisor to the chairman and CEO for special projects, reporting directly to IMG chairman and chief executive officer Ted Forstmann. Bennett will be located at the Forstmann Little/IMG headquarters office in Midtown.
"I am personally very pleased to have Chuck back," said Forstmann in a statement to staff. "During his tenure as the head of IMG’s Model and Fashion Businesses he grew those businesses substantially, making them leaders in their industries. I am delighted that he recognizes the tremendous international potential we have to make IMG a much larger and much more profitable company. Chuck’s proven entrepreneurial talents will help us achieve that goal."
"Ted Forstmann has continued to develop a number of unbelievably exciting business ventures around the world," said Bennett. "Projects like IMG’s exclusive 20-year joint venture with CCTV in China, among others, have the potential to be truly transformational and provide enormous growth opportunities to IMG going forward. The chance to be a part of these developments, in a very different role, is something I am very excited about. I am looking forward to my new responsibilities and to making a significant contribution to Ted’s vision for IMG in the future."
