Rochas to Show in Paris
(NEW YORK) Following Marco Zanini's lauded first collection for Rochas, which was shown at a presentation in the Marais last March, the designer has earned some new bragging rights. On September 30, he will effectively kick off Paris Fashion Week with a runway show at 5 p.m. at the Musée de l’homme near the Trocadero.
This is a tremendous show of support from Gibò Co. SpA, which operates the Rochas ready-to-wear license for parent company Procter & Gamble. Gibò president Franco Penè hired Zanini, a veteran of Halston and Versace, in November 2008 after a ready-to-wear hiatus following Olivier Theyskens' departure from the house in July 2006.
