Janice Min Leaves Us Weekly

(NEW YORK) After 6 years at the helm of one of the best-selling magazines in the industry, Janice Min is stepping down as editor-in-chief of Us Weekly. "In short, I decided it was time to try something else in my life...and occasionally go out on Monday nights," she wrote in a memo to staff. "There are no immediate plans, except to enjoy the month of August, take some tennis lessons, and maybe finally edit my wedding album."

During Min's tenure at the Wenner Media title, she grew Us Weekly into the number 2 celebrity title (behind People), and established Us' reputation to be the among the most journalistically sound tabloids. Min's contract will expire next week; her departure was forecasted yesterday by Page Six.
