Seeing Green Yet?

Comments | | Print

(NEW YORK) You can call green fashion a trend, but it certainly isn’t going anywhere. In fact, industry leaders see it as fashion’s future--and are prepared to defend it all the way. On Monday, July 20, NY Salon will present a panel discussion at Soho House entitled “Is the Future of Fashion Green?” Participating in the evening will be Barneys New York’s Julie Gilhart, The New York Times’ Sandra Ballentine, Jeffrey Hutchison, and author James Woodhuyson. From the phenomenon of the “frugalista” to the place of luxury in the current market, these execs will discuss their views on fashion’s current state--and then the discussion will be opened up to the audience, who can react, ask questions, and join in. In true fashion form, however, the event won’t be all business; post-discussion, the socially-conscious chicsters will retire to the Library for cocktails.
