Fiery Fashion
(NEW YORK) The Watermill Center’s annual summer benefit is always a chic merging of fashion and art, and this year it’s shaping up to be hotter than ever--literally. The Inferno-themed party will manifest itself in several ways, from the “flaming” dress code (expect lots of red!) to the fire performances by Todd Robbins. Of course, the live auction by Simon de Pury should be quite a draw as well: work by Willem de Kooning, Andy Warhol, Peter Lindbergh, Ross Bleckner, Elizabeth Peyton, Dash Snow, Terrence Koh and many more will be offered to guests, who will enjoy over 10 art installations and performances inspired by the theme prior to the auction.
Benefit chairs for the event include Lisa Anastos, Lisa de Kooning, Calvin Klein, and Lisa and Richard Perry, and honorary chairs include Annie Leibovitz, Zac Posen, Isabelle Rosselini, Viktor & Rolf, Dita Von Teese, Jeff Koons, Frank Gehry, Bianca Jagger and more--so expect the guest list to be just as hot as the night’s theme. The Watermill Gala will take place July 25 at the Watermill Center in Southampton.
