(NEW YORK) Giorgio Armani is a documented sports fan--but it looks like his latest interest might just be of the aquatic sort. The brand announced today that Emporio Armani will be an official sponsor of the XIII Fina World Swimming Championships Rome 2009, which will take place this summer between July 17 and August 2. The designer has created the official uniforms for the Italian team and members of the Fina committee: a two-piece suit in navy blue jersey piped in white, with drawstring-waist trousers, a navy blue polo, and white suede sneakers complete with a blue embroidered logo.
