Jessica Simpson Suits Up
(NEW YORK) With shoe, handbag, and apparel lines, Jessica Simpson already has one of the most ubiquitous celeb brands in the business. Next up: A swimwear collection, courtesy of industry vet Red Carter. Carter will personally design the collection in collaboration with Simpson, with the Camuto Group overseeing manufacturing and distribution. “The Red Carter team is thrilled to partner with Jessica Simpson and Camuto Group--we admire them both immensely,” Carter said in a statement. “The Jessica Simpson Collection is an iconic brand with a high level of consumer awareness. We understand and appreciate the core objectives and design aesthetic of the brand, and are looking forward to expanding its appeal even further.”
“We are delighted to have found the right partner to continue to position Jessica Simpson Collection as a lifestyle brand,” added Camuto Group president Bob Galvin. “Red Carter is known as a leader in both the design and distribution of quality women’s swimwear and we are looking forward to a long, successful partnership.” The Jessica Simpson Swim Collection will be available at major department and specialty stores nationwide, retailing from $35 to $50 for separates and up to $120 for cover-ups.
