Ferragamo’s Earthquake Efforts
(NEW YORK) There’s nothing like a gorgeous handbag to get chicettes scrambling for their checkbooks--but when Ferragamo, charity, and Madonna are involved, the effort is destined for success. Salvatore Ferragamo will host a benefit tomorrow night at its Los Angeles store to support the victims of the L’Aquila earthquake in Italy earlier this year. The cocktail party will be hosted by Debi Mazar and Adrian Grenier, and the likes of John Legend, Kate Mara, Rosanna Arquette, Rose McGowan, Shiva Rose, Melissa George, Taryn Manning and more are expected to attend. In addition to the 10% of the night’s shopping proceeds given to GlobalGiving’s Italy Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund, a Ferragmo bag auction will be impossible for charitable types to resist. Celebrity owned and autographed Ferragamo handbags have been donated by the likes of Madonna, Dita Von Teese, and Eva Longoria, and will be available on eBay between June 3 and 12 at http://www.ebay.com/globalgiving-italyearthquake.
