Yes, You Cannes!
(NEW YORK) Don't be fooled about all that hype bemoaning a chic-less Cannes. Plenty of designers and fash-world A-listers are travelling to French Rivera in the next several days. Donatella Versace, Kenneth Cole, and Carine Roitfeld will all appear at the amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS benefit on May 21. Dior and French Elle are hosting a dinner in honor of Marion Cotillard just a few days later. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are hosting their annual blow-out at Baoli on May 22. Penelope Cruz will helm a Hollywood Domino Night in France on May 18, while Chopard will host its annual Trophy presentation that very same evening. The jeweler (and official sponsor) will also host an intimate opening-night party for just 200 on the first night of the festival. DSquared2 is hosting a big bash on May 18 to celebrate the global launch of the brand's new eyewear, while Nikki Beach will celebrate the launch of its ready-to-wear collection with a champagne brunch. And don't forget Christian Audigier--he will celebrate his 51st birthday with exclusive bash at the VIP Room in the Palm Beach Casino. Expect the likes of Lenny Kravitz and 50 Cent to perform for the birthday boy.
