(NEW YORK) Bulgari has spent much of 2009 celebrating its 125th anniversary, beginning with the brand's hosting duties for the National Board of Review gala in January and gearing up for the May 20th opening of the Bulgari: Between History and Eternity 1884-2009 retrospective at the Il Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.
The opening gala will unveil approximatgely 500 works of jewelry, watchingmaking and objets d'art, most of which belong to Bulgari's Historical Archives while several have been lent by private collectors. Sketches, drawings and photographs will round out the exhibition, which will fill 8 galleries. It is curaetd by Amanda Triossi, the director of the Bulgari Historical Archives since 1997, and will be open to the public from May 22 to September 13, 2009.
A slew of celebrities are slated to fly in for the lavish opening festivities, which will include an opening party and a private dinner. Jessica Alba, Ginnifer Goodwin, Chloe Sevigny, Alain Delon, Patricia Field, Jason Lewis, Enrique Iglesias, Selma Blair, Samantha Morton, Elsa Pataky, Alessandra Ferri, Fabrizio Ferri and Gina Lollobrigida will descend upon the Eternal City.
