Sander’s New Shoes
(NEW YORK) After a successful launch of Jil Sander’s accessory division, the brand is taking its shoe collection to the next level by partnering with IRIS S.p.A. Starting with the Spring 2010 collection, IRIS will have the exclusive global license to manufacture and distribute Jil Sander’s men’s and women’s shoes. Creative director Raf Simons will oversee the collection. “After the successful establishment of our own accessory design division, our focus is on increasing the efficiency by using the excellence and know-how of IRIS,” said Jil Sander Group CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris in a statement. “This synergetic alliance will strengthen our presence on the existing markets and will give us new access to develop emerging markets.”
