(NEW YORK) New York City’s Economic Development Corporation one of fashion's driving forces, and now it has just introduced a new tool for the chic set. NYCFashionInfo.com, a comprehensive business-to-business resource for the fashion community, has just launched, and aims to be a means to promote information and commerce in the industry.

The site offers a complete calendar of the city’s market weeks and fashion weeks, updates on the latest fashion news (by subscription), support for design and production--including connections to sourcing databases, factories, and manufacturers, as well as a searchable database of more than 5,000 New York showrooms. But the best part may be the Fashion Facts section: Did you know that the fashion industry in New York City employs over 175,000 people and generates $10 billion in total wages? See, we all have something to learn.
