Paul Smith Gets Exclusive
(NEW YORK) British designer Paul Smith may be an icon across the pond, but now he’s won a place at the heart of the New York retail scene: Barneys. Paul Smith’s collection for the department store, appropriately titled Exclusive, will launch for fall and offer suiting, separates and shirting exclusively at Barneys New York flagship locations. “I have been privileged to work with Barneys New York for many years,” said Smith, “and so it’s really great that I can do something that is especially for them and create an Exclusive collection where the designs are very Paul Smith.”
The pieces, manufactured in Italy using Italian and British textiles, will feature subtly patterned gray and navy suiting, bright shirts, and velvet evening jackets and weekend sport coats, all finished with Smith’s signature quirky design details.
