Power Publicist on the Move!
(NEW YORK) It's been a rough year for Itierre, and now, the brand is losing one of its finest. Giorgiana Magnolfi, the 8-year veteran of the house who most recently served as public relations director of IT Holdings USA, has left the company. Magnolfi oversaw all press, local advertising, VIP relations, event planning and show management for Gianfranco Ferré and Malo while handling editorial requests for Just Cavalli, C'N'C and Galliano. Maryjane Frisbee, formerly PR manager at IT Holding, will take over the public relations director position.
On Monday, Magnolfi begins her new position as senior public relations director at Brunello Cucinelli. Magnolfi will oversee all communications activities, including the media plan for national and local publications, for the North American market. She will report directly to Massimo Caronna, the president of Brunello Cucinelli USA.
"After 8 years at Ittierre, it's very hard to leave," said Magnolfi. "The company has been so great to me and I've had a chance to work for some of the most talented designers. I feel very privileged to have had this opportunity." Magnolfi was instrumental in the revivial of the house of Ferré following Gianfranco Ferré's death in 2007. "Working with Tommaso [Aquilano] and Roberto [Rimondi] was such a highlight of the past three years and I am sure they will continue to succeed. I've always had a soft spot for them."
