The Stuff That Legends Are Made Of...

(NEW YORK) The American Ballet Theatre set has never suffered from being less-than-spectacularly dressed, but at this year's behemouth Spring Gala, attendees will be stepping it up a notch. Carolina Herrera and Graff have signed on as event sponsors for the May 18 dinner and dance, which means that event honchos Anne Grauso, Ashley McDermott, Florence Low Sloan, Ivanka Trump, Danielle Ganek and Caryn Zucker will have little problem picking something splendid.

The honorary co-chair list is especially heavy-weighted this year--namely, President Barack Obama and Mrs. Michelle Obama, Carolina Herrera, Caroline Kennedy, Blaine Trump and Renee Zellweger. Attendees will be treated to a one-time performance by ABT stars featuring highlights from the upcoming season; Ananiashvili will perform a piece d'occasion choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky. Granted, the Obamas are probably preoccupied in Washington, but if any gala can lure them to Gotham, this is the one to count on.
