A Californian Chloé
(NEW YORK) Angelenos itching for a Chloé fix can start the celebration: the iconic French brand, has opened a store on Melrose Place, marking Chloé’s fifth U.S. location (following stores in New York, Costa Mesa, Miami and Las Vegas). Shoppers in L.A. will be able to browse Hannah MacGibbon-designed ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, small leather goods, jewelry, sunglasses and fragrance in the 2,500 square foot space.
London-based architecture firm Sophie Hicks & Associates developed the original retail design concept for the brand, which has evolved this time around: the store is appropriately airy, with skylights and huge windows for a light-filled space, and incorporates a 3-D wall with abstract cut-outs. White marble floors, white leather couches and chairs, and brass and rose gold fixtures complete the luxurious space. In addition to the interior, the two-level boutique includes a VIP area on the mezzanine with a balcony and private courtyard.
