It's Promotion Monday at LVMH
(NEW YORK) It’s a busy executive shuffle day at LVMH. Christian Dior Couture appointed Karen Watkins as a new executive vice president for Christian Dior Inc., effective May 4. Watkins will be in charge of all U.S. retail operations and report to Pamela Baxter--a post that Augustin de Buffevent has held since October 2007. The executive joined LVMH in 2002 and was previously a senior vice president of stores, Western region for Louis Vuitton North America.
Consequently, Charles Delapalme, current country manager, Canada & Bermuda for Louis Vuitton was promoted to Watkins’s former post. He will now be responsible for 28 stores throughout California, Washington and Oregon and report directly to Daniel Lalonde. Delapalme joined LVMH in 2005.
