(NEW YORK) There is always plenty of luxury to be found at Bergdorf Goodman, but next week, the iconic Fifth Avenue retail mecca will enjoy an extra injection of haute thanks to Bottega Veneta. The PPR-owned brand has created an store-wide installation, dubbed The World of Bottega Veneta, that will infuse the floors with every offering from the brand, including handbags, shoes, leather goods, women’s ready-to-wear, men’s clothing, fine jewelry, porcelain, eyewear, and an entire room
devoted to the home collection full of furniture as well as tabletop and desktop accessories. This occasion marks the first time the entire Bottega Veneta collection is shown outside of one of the brand's freestanding retail stores.

Clearly, a celebration is in order, so Bottega Veneta designed a limited-edition bag, the Bergdorf Goodman Fenice, that will be available sometime this Month. Only 25 will be sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman. On April 14, Botteva Veneta creative director Tomas Maier will toast the initiative with a cocktail party at the store, followed by a private dinner hosted by with Julianne Moore. Over the course of the next week, Bergdorf Goodman’s Fifth Avenue windows will be dressed in Bottega Veneta confections.

This project is a natural evolution of the relationship between these two brands. In December 2008, Bottega Veneta opened a ready-to-wear boutique on the store's Third Floor. Bottega Veneta fine jewelry will now be featured on the Main Floor, while the home offerings will live in The Loft on Seven. The men's clothing, shoes and accessory collections have been sold at the Bergdorf Goodman Men’s Store since early 2008. the beginning of 2008. “Bergdorf Goodman is very excited to be the first store to bring the complete world of Bottega Veneta to life, and we look forward to presenting the full collection to our clients this spring”, says Bergdorf Goodman President and CEO Jim Gold in a statement. “The creative vision of Tomas Maier, and the integrity of the Bottega Veneta brand, align perfectly with Bergdorf Goodman and our long-standing commitment to exceptional quality, design, and craftsmanship.”

“We’re honored and excited to be featured at Bergdorf Goodman in such a dramatic installation” adds Maier. “It’s a remarkable store, one of a kind both literally and figuratively. I especially admire their determination to bring their customers the finest merchandise the world has to offer. Bottega Veneta is delighted to have such a talented and committed partner."
