Kalinsky's Big Heart
(NEW YORK) Jeffrey Kalinsky's Meatpacking District retail mecca Jeffrey New York is showing its charitable side once again. On April 22 at Espace, the Jeffrey Fashion Cares Charity event will bring together fashion’s finest for a VIP pre-party, silent auction, live auction, and fashion show featuring Spring/Summer 2009 collections carried at the store. Pieces from the likes of Prada, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, MiuMiu, Gucci, Chanel, Jil Sander, and Yves Saint Laurent (among many others) have contributed treats for the auctions in the past, in addition to items like original artwork, personal care products and services and exotic trips. Over the past 17 years, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has raised more than $8.5 million--with over 95% of every dollar raised going directly to the charities. This year's benefactors of Kalinsky's largesse? Lambda Legal, Hetrick-Martin, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and the Point Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at jeffreyfashioncares.org.-
