Lanvin’s London Stop
(NEW YORK) What better treat than a personal walk-through of the Lanvin collection by Alber Elbaz himself? Yesterday, the Lanvin creative director hosted private presentations of his Spring 2009 collection to a select group of ladies in his new London flagship store on Mount Street. After showing the girls-only group his gorgeous creations in the transformed Georgian townhouse, Elbaz opened the party up to the boys; the likes of Mark Ronson, Stephen Jones, Juergen Teller, and Jefferson Hack came out to join the final presentation of the day…followed, bien sûr, by a fête.
Art dealer Ivor Braka hosted a private dinner for the designer and his loyal followers at his home post-presentations, where Kristen Scott Thomas, Rosamund Pike and Duran Duran joined for a party that went into the wee hours. Alber may be headquartered in Paris these days, but he certainly knows how to foster a fan club in the UK.
