And the Nominees Are...
(NEW YORK) The nominees for the Council of Fashion Designers of America 2009 Awards--fashion's equivalent of the Oscars--were announced at Swarovski's Rockefeller Center party last night. Marc Jacobs, Narcisco Rodriguez, and Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte are all in the running for Womenswear Designer of the Year, while the Menswear Designer of the Year nominees are Italo Zucchelli of Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Bastian, and Scott Sternberg of Band of Outsiders--interestingly, both the Rodarte sisters and Scott Sternberg were Swarovski Award winners last year.
