(NEW YORK) And now, some news from across the pond: Slumdog chicette Frieda Pinto has been popping up on the fashion radar ever since her stylish appearances promoting her film. Now, she’s caught the eye of Liberty of London. The actress cut the ribbon yesterday at the grand reopening of the store (after a six-month, extensive refurbishment), but not before doing a little shopping of her own. “Danny Boyle took me to Liberty for the first time when we were in Soho for a press junket,” she said, wearing a dress by Dries Van Noten from the store. “I’m delighted to see how beautiful it looks after its renaissance. I especially love the scarf and women’s International rooms.” Before she heads back stateside for a Jay Leno appearance and the Oscars, she picked up some pieces by Brit designers like Alexander McQueen—might she pick a Brit to dress her for the Academy Awards?
