Gryson for Target
(NEW YORK) Those clamoring for more of Target’s high-end partnerships can put another burgeoning label on their Target wish lists. The mass-retailer has tapped accessories company Gryson to collaborate on its highly successful series, joining the ranks of Devi Kroell, Hollywould, Dominique Cohen, Rafé, and, most recently, Loeffler Randall. The collection of accessories, which will launch in 2008, will be previewed to long-lead press on December 12 at Target’s Manhattan studios.
Gryson was launched in 2006 by Joy Gryson, the Korean-born former director of design and development of handbags and accessories for Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. She is known for her sweetly named bags (think Sophie and Olivia) with beautiful detailing, such as rich linings, gold-finished brass hardware, and I.D. tag embellishments. Gryson added a footwear collection to its offerings this fall. Among Gryson’s celebrity clientele are Sophia Bush, Jessica Biel, Hilary Duff, and Rebecca Gayheart.
