2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Finalists Announced

(NEW YORK) On Thursday morning, the judging committee of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund named the ten finalists for 2011. Without further ado, the list:

Creatures of the Wind, Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters
Cushnie Et Ochs, Michelle Ochs and Carly Cushnie
Finn Jewelry, Soraya Silchenstedt
Fenton/Fallon, Dana Lorenz
Ohne Titel, Alexa Adams and Flora Gill
Pamela Love, Pamela Love
Suno, Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty

The three awards (two runners-up and one winner) will be announced at a soirée in November. The committee included Vogue's Anna Wintour and Mark Holgate, Jeffrey Kalinsky of Jeffrey and Nordstrom, the CFDA's Steven Kolb, J.Crew's Jenna Lyons, Theory's Andrew Rosen, Diane von Furstenberg, and newcomers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler. Billy Reid won the 2010 Award, which comes with a $300,000 grant, while Prabal Gurung and Eddie Borgo were anointed runners-up, taking home $100,000 each. All three winners are teamed up with an established CFDA designer for the purposes of business mentorship. prize and business mentoring.
