Dries Van Noten - Paris Spring 2010
(PARIS) Van Noten earned a new crop of fans over the last two seasons, first with a beautiful collection of floral prints, then a clean, angular and colorful way of mixing separates that effectively modernized the brand. For Spring 2010, things were a bit more complicated, with suiting jackets and Marrakech prints and polka dot shorts all vying for attention. While many pieces worked beautifully all alone, like the micro floral-print pantalons in the first look and a billowing khaki trouser, the overall effect was a bit busy. That being said, Van Noten has built a career on clients who revere that aesthetic, and they have plenty this season to choose from.
