Versace - Milan Spring 2010
(MILAN) On a day when subtle and organic ruled in Milan, Donatella gifted us all with an ultimate and much-needed treat. She sent out unapologetically gorgeous models that looked like senators from Planet Venus, all phenomenally powerful and sexy down to every last platform shoe. Versace used Alice in Wonderland as an odd starting point, as we didn't need any help from the inspiration sheets. The corset dresses were alluring, the vintage prints felt fresh again, and the knockout gowns were glistening and delightful. Donatella edited the collection to please everyone from Moscow housewives to (lately) very picky Hollywood stylists. It was truly one of her strongest and more assured productions ever.
