Gucci - Milan Spring 2010
(MILAN) "I'm not fashion editor clearly," said Mary J. Blige after the Gucci show. "But it doesn't take much to figure out that Frida really delivered. The black dresses, those beautiful rhinestones, that great flow and energy. All the props go out to her!" And Giannini is clearly comfortable by now with her one heck of a job title. Her collection was clearly 'Frida' in so many ways. For spring, she mostly stuck to Gucci's best selling color (noir) and adorned with showers of metallic beading and candy. She strapped the models in most curiously flattering way while letting them shine in their shiny ankle boots and signature jackets. These pieces were clearly meant to identify with a weary shopper for more than one season and perhaps even more than one year.
