Emilio Pucci - Milan Spring 2010
(MILAN) For a Norwegian man, Peter Dundas sure knows to turn up the heat. In a sweltering show space, one of the best model line-ups of the fashion season thus far stormed by the front row in embroidered numbers, younger and sexier Pucci print dresses, hot pants, and super t-shirts. Set to an energetic European club beat, Dundas' confident effort was reminiscent (aura wise) of his good friend Christophe Decarnin's last workings for Balmain. It was a transformative season in which he injected a much-needed bit of botox into a venerable brand. Discounting few missteps like few unflattering swimsuits, this was a truly energized and inspired showing from a Milan Viking who's clearly not going anywhere anytime soon.
