Aminaka Wilmont - London Spring 2010
(LONDON) The design duo of Maki Aminaka Lofvander and Marcus Wilmont presented a collection entitled Adage for S/S 2010. "The collection culminated around the concept of movement, and contortion in movement," explained Wilmont backstage after the show. The emphasis was on the draping of fabric and the designers used high-tech materials like laser-printed leather, which served to emulate the movements of a dancer mid-motion. The collection had the audience in raptures, from the printed mini-dresses to the embellished epaulettes adorning items to the black leather, fringed, armour-like body pieces to the gorgeous wing headpieces created by J Smith Esquire Millinery.
