Bora Aksu - London Spring 2010
(LONDON) Aksu's collection took its inspiration from Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince. "It's a story all about this statue made of gold and emeralds, and he is so sad because he sees the poverty of his public. I tried to explore the beauty behind the gold," Aksu told us backstage. Ornate sequin and mesh tights were paired with intricately designed dresses which were evocative of insects (in a good way). We especially loved the long-sleeved lace dresses and Heidi-style braids.
