Wu's New Digs
(NEW YORK) "It's been a crazy week," said Jason Wu last night at the official studio-warming party. "I guess I should check my horoscope!" Not only was the designer toasted by Elle at Edit boutique on Monday, he was also honored by Michelle Obama when---again---the First Lady wore one of his confections on St. Patrick's Day. And now this! A soaring new studio and showroom, complete with a killer BBQ system, right in the heart of the Garment District! "You need a glass of Veuve," he instructed party-goers like Amy Astley, Meredith Melling Burke, Robert Burke, and Eddie Borgo. "The bar is right this way."
Melissa George appeared ex elevator and discussed Wu's upcoming vacances in Uraguay. Karlie Kloss and Tati trailed the designer around his soaring new studio and showroom, which was designed architecturally by Giancarlo Valle (the fiance of Jane Keltner) and designed interiorally by Anna Wintour's go-to guru, Jessie Carrier of Carrier & Company. "It looks beautiful now, especially with all that chocolate," said Carrier. "But it looks so much better when the clothes are in here!"
