Top 10 Things We Learned From March Gotham
1. One to watch: Keith Lissner of The Fashion Show.
“Whether or not the name rings a bell, you’ve no doubt seen Lissner’s designs on the social circuit, gracing the figures of everyone from ladies who lunch to the nightlife bunch.” Vraiment?
2. Our closet needs to pack more punch!
Amanda Weiner’s “Street Style” to the rescue. “Feeling shy? Let graphic prints do the talking.” Or you can always “add red fur and a blue-hued updo for drama.” But remember: “the only accessory needed is confidence.”
3. We still don’t understand the Binn Shot captions.
While we may already know that Bob Colacello, Tony Shafrazi and Eric Milon are “the insiders,” or Richie Notar is “the gatekeeper,” we didn’t know that Robert Ronen, Francois-Henry Bennahmias and Nir Mir are “always keeping great time,” whatever that means. Although it sounds like a pretty good thing.
4. Andy Cohen: totally uptownie.
His go-to scent? “I wear Creed’s Millésime Impérial cologne, but a better name for it might be ‘Citrus Sensation’ or ‘Citrus Sin-Sation.’”
5. The List is as head-scratching as ever.
No deck, no problem. Alice Temperley leads the way, with everyone from Leigh Lezark, Becka Diamond, Olivier Theyskens and Pamella Roland thrown together in one happy melting pot. Craig Donahue rounds off the list, which piques our interest. When will Craig Donohue, CEO of CME Group, ever earn his shout-out?
6. Chrissie Miller just loves it all!
She lists a few of her favorite New York things. Number 1? The people. Making the 2 and 3 slot is art and music, respectively. True, it’s hard to be remotely specific with so much to choose from.
7. Alexandra Richards: “I don’t Twitter and I don’t litter.”
Theodora Richards? A bit more frank. “It can drop off the face of the earth as far as I’m concerned.”
8. Nola Weinstein and Jason Wu adore the vino at Otto!
Is the “Grape Expectations” feature devoted exclusively to Daily darlings? Gothamers, you flatter us. FYI: Fern Mallis gets her bourgogne on The Bar at The Four Seasons.
9. Attention, flacks: Send Abigail Breslin a backpack!
“Big bags are good; you can put a lot of stuff in them,” says the 13-year-old. “My grandma always tells me and my mom that we’re going to get hernias from our bags.”
10. Alicia Keys is molto down-to-earth girl, especially when time-strapped.
Anne-Marie Guarnieri interviews the native New Yorker, revealing, “She calls Gotham back exactly when she said she would.” Although, her schedule’s teeming with phoners. “Keys politely interjects that she may have to cut our time short to squeeze in another interview.”
