(NEW YORK) What do an insurance salesman, a prized violin, and a dead body have in common? They’re the key elements of a new dark dram-com called Thin Ice. Stars Greg Kinnear, Billy Crudup, Lea Thompson, and Alan Arkin came out for a special Cinema Society screening yesterday at the Tribeca Grand Hotel along with a crowd of red carpet regulars like Rob and Marisol Thomas, Russell Simmons, Jennifer Esposito, Daniel Merriweather, Paul Haggis, Gaby Hoffman, Fern Mallis and Ezra Miller.

Spoiled with an unseasonably warm winter, the group of starry New Yorkers got a taste of what snow and ice is really like in the good ol' Midwest, watching two stellar con men deal with the consequences of committing an accidental murder in the dead of winter. Naturally, your Daily wondered about the cast's favorite con men. Sussie Essman pointed to her offspring for her response, while Lea Thompson offered up her director husband, Howard Deutch

After the screening, and one too many handfuls of sweet treats, the A-list troupe made their way to the Club Room of the Soho Grand Hotel to warm up by the crackling fireplace and talk about cold weather comforts. "It's all about moisturizer, moisturizer, moisturizer! Kiehl’s Crème de Corps is my favorite. It hydrates, hydrates, hydrates," said Essman. For Thompson, it was all about the silk scarves. "I buy them, cut them up, and dye them. Then, I have my kids draw on them. I can’t live without them!” admitted Thompson as guests shimmied to the bumpin' beats and tipped back Grey Goose la Poire cocktails well after midnight.
