(NEW YORK) Sand castles and SPF? Not at this beach party, darlings! On Friday night, the Cinema Society along with Rent The Runway hosted a midsummer fete for the new film, Robot & Frank, starring Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, and Liv Tyler at the oceanfront maison de Jerry and Judy Della Femina.

The notable coterie of Hamptonites and celebs who joined the cast post-rainstorm included John Leguizamo, John Slattery, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Judith Giuliani, Zosia Mamet (more girls!), Hilary Rhoda, Nanette Lepore, Fern Mallis, Daniel Benedict, Andrew Saffir, Malcolm Carfrae, Katie Lee, Greta Monahan, Lucy Sykes Rellie, Richard Johnson, Russell Simmons, and Harry and Peter Brandt Jr. who caught up with Tyler amid air-kisses on the tapis rouge.

Pre-screening, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner of gazpacho shots, pasta primavera, mushroom-topped toast, and an assortment of kabobs, plus cocktails provided by Grey Goose—especially the hit Cherry Noir Hamptons punch. But Fern Mallis decided to take a different route, literally, and settled for an ice cold beer and a prime view of the Olympics Opening Ceremony. In the same cozy, wood-paneled room? Walters, Langella and Giuliani hand-in-hand (ménage à trois style). To top it off, Walters was walking barefoot! (Mon Dieu!) Outside, Lucy Sykes Rellie offered up Rent The Runway online shopping tips to Tyler while a troupe of male models dressed in head-to-toe white (Diddy’s all white party anyone?) set up blankets for the haute tent screening, which was followed by a bonfire afterparty that continued until the wee hours of the morning. Only in the Hamptons...
