(NEW YORK) Glamour celebrated their latest online addition,, and the vertical’s new blog, Toast, on Wednesday evening. It was pretty perfect, which is all but expected when you’re entertaining a crowd of home and style influencers like Madhu Puri, Pippa Lord, Claire Mazur, Jeanette Zinno, and Samuel Masters. The crew gathered inside Jonathan Adler’s Soho flagship, and a spread of sweets was passed out: Tiny cubes of candy-topped cakes, hazelnut truffles, plus pink, red, and chevron printed macaroons from Treat House, Godiva, and Dana’s Bakery satiated our sweet tooth. And what’s a party without champagne?! Pink Moscato, brut cuvee, and pinot grigio were the varieties on hand.

Between perusing Adler’s chic wares and the latest edition of Glamour, the Taylor Swift-covered March issue, we chatted about this dive into decor with some of the brains behind the blog with senior online editor Marissa Gold and executive digital director Mike Hofman. “The site has always been about all aspects of a woman’s life. The more content that we’ve done in Living, whether it’s home décor or recipes or entertaining, has been really popular. We thought this is really a signal from the reader this is something she wants to read about,” said Hofman. Some of the most-read items, according to Gold, include recipes from gals like Lauren Conrad or a new feature called “Chic Peek” that takes an inside look into tastemakers' homes, offices, or studios. Also on the docket: a series called “Your First Grown Up...” In which the site taps foremost experts in various areas—think Nate Berkus for your living room, Jonathon Adler for your bedroom, Bethenny Frankel for your bar cart—for surefire advice. Currently, the vertical is a collective staff effort with contributions from special great writers who are known professionally for their aesthetic and style. As for Gold, she’s game to open her home for Chic Peek now that she lives and breaths home and décor. The most unexpected thing we’ll find?  “A brown and white cowhide carpet, because everything else in my room is stark white. It’s my passion piece in my room,” she shared. Oh la la!
