(NEW YORK) Whatever the Perks of Being a Wallflower are, as the title of the coming of age flick suggests, there wasn't much wallflower-ing to be had at an East Hamptons screening of the film hosted by The Cinema Society, The Hollywood Reporter, and the Samsung Galaxy S III over the weekend at Donna Karan's abode. With a crowd that included Barbra Streisand and James Brolin, Sir Paul McCartney avec Nancy Shevell, Katie Couric,  Barry Manilow, Howard and Beth Stern, Molly Sims, and Rachel Zoe, Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson, and Gina Gershon.

With a spread of Tutto il Giorno delectables to keep the chic set satiated (and perhaps cancel out the effects of all that Dom and Belvedere, non?), thanks to co-host and Tutto owner
Gabby Karan
and husband Gianpaolo de Felice, there were ample alfresco loungers to recline on mid-meal (or pre...or post...). Exhibit A: Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy. See also: Elettra Wiedemann and restauranteur hubby James Marshall cozied up in a corner, evidently still in honeymooner's phase two or so months after getting hitched.

Other from the foodie fray included Bobby Flay alongside SVU (and organic farming!) superstar wife Stephanie March, as well as Giada De Laurentiis and Padma Lakshmi, plus fashionettes like Johan Lindeberg, Waris Ahluwalia, and Fern Mallis. What better a way to say farewell to summer than an East End affair of such starry proportions?
