NYFW's Starriest Kick-Off, amFAR and Away!

(NEW YORK) Flurries be damned, the fabulous and the philanthropic made it out for the annual amfAR gala at Cipriani Wall Street. On the menu: too many luminous models to count, from those Victoria's Secret youngsters to gorgeous greats like Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, and Carol Alt. Also on hand? SJP hosting in an infectious pop of bubblegum pink; Janelle Monae to perform; Julianne Moore, Elizabeth Hurley, Kenneth Cole, Nicky Hilton, and (lest your Daily or anyone overlook!) Lindsay Lohan. 

The chattiest chicster: Roberto Cavalli, who posed with the beaut Elisa Sednaoui (face of his latest fragrance!) before holding court with the nook of print reporters to discuss his recent love for social media. All the power to you and your crazily entertaining blog, Roberto! A rather pregnant and positively glowing Julia Restoin-Roitfeld was game for a few belly-showcasing shots (mama Carine looked exceptionally swell, too, FYI). While an also-expecting Molly Sims was happy to discuss the type of mother she plans to be. If baby Sims is a boy, expect a sports-loving little rascal...with a soft side. Into it!

Meanwhile, Rachel Roy coyly hinted at a good mood-rendering amour in the works, dredged up on the topic of karaoke, of all things. "It’s amazing how certain songs can immediately bring up a visual," said Roy. "What kind of visual, your Daily wondered? "I’m in a bit of romantic mood lately, so it’s 'Take My Breath Away.'" Art, in the form of iTunes playlist, imitating life? Oui. "Well, yeah! There is definitely reason for that mood," Roy trailed off before heading inside.
