Models for Haiti
(NEW YORK) Tonight may be Urban Zen and The Standard’s Haiti Hope Help & Relief benefit, but on Friday, a new bevy of beauties will support the cause. Hearts for Haiti, and LakayPAM Awareness and Fundraising Event, will launch on February 12, hosted by Coco Rocha, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Narciso Rodriguez. LakayPAM (which translates to “my home”) is a non-profit organization founded by model Carolina Bittencourt and her husband, Haitian website developer Cedrick Roche, and 100% of all the evening’s donations will go to rebuilding a Hatian school and caring for its orphans. Raquel Zimmerman, Natasha Poly, Hannah Holman, Ali Stephens, Chanel Iman, and Valentina Zelyaeva will make up the rest of the model lineup, while Robert Geller and Richard Chai will represent the fashion crowd—joining the Haitian Consulate General, Haitian UN Ambassador, and Brazilian Ambassador.
A silent auction will offer prizes like an autographed poster (with a personal message) of Ambrosio, an autographed book and signed fragrance bottle from Rodriguez, original pieces by artist BRAINWASH, sports memorabilia, t-shirts with Polaroids of Elite models, and Glam Rock Watches, signed by the buyer’s choice of model. $40,0000 covers all expenses for the school and orphanage for a whole year, so here’s hoping chicsters are feeling generous!
