M Missoni Sunset
(NEW YORK) The skies may have opened up yesterday morning, but last night’s weather was too good to be true for the chicsters that decamped to the Standard (is it just nous, or is there an event there every night?) for M Missoni’s celebration of the summer. Mojitos, mini lobster rolls, and a lawn chair on Le Bain’s astro-turfed roof---what better way to take in a gorgeous sunset over the Hudson?
Of course, lounging wasn’t the only activity on the agenda. The invitation to the fête included a CD of appropriately summery tunes, so music was sure to be in store, provided by modelesque Danish electronic sensation Oh Land (née Nanna Øland Fabricius). Sporting a voluminous orange cape, the singer took the stage just after the sun went down, packing the space (though not the pool) with revelers like Maryna Linchuk and Byrdie Bell. The Boom Boom may be currently fermé for late-night partying, but Le Bain---particularly for the summer---is filling in quite nicely.
