(NEW YORK) And we're off! "It starts earlier every year," Ariel Foxman told us last night about the official launch of NYFW festivities. John Varvatos kicked things off with a bash at new haute spot Houston Hall (a former auto garage in the West Village), featuring jams by Questlove, to celebrate the new JohnVarvatos.com. Varvatos was joined by some familar faces like Mary Alice Stephenson, Fern Mallis, Nick Sullivan, Bruce Pask, Keith Pollock, Mick Rock, Bill Wackermann, Jim Moore, and WSJ.'s new editrix Kristina O'Neill, officially making the rounds in her new role. The usual suspects were joined by the likes of Boardwalk Empire's Vincent Piazza, chef Michael Votaggio, The Meatball Shop's Michael Chernow, and dashing Mashable founder Pete Cashmore. The Varvatos team has relaunched their site with a full redesign and all-new features, such as their "Style & Substance" section, which peers into the lives of their most admired and stylish gents.
