(NEW YORK) Noticed a shortage of smartly-dressed gentlemen in the streets last night? That’s because they were all on the seventh floor of Saks Fifth Avenue, toasting the arrival of Gant by Michael Bastian in the store, as well as the reprinting of Take Ivy. Bastian, fresh back from a trip to London, was in high spirits, and so were shoppers, as men have been eagerly anticipating this day after a supremely successful launch. “Yes, Gant is available in stores! This is what is so exciting for us right now,” beamed Bastian. “The Gant guy just wants to get up in the morning and look good.” Which, admittedly, is not too much to ask. Thankfully, Bastian makes it easy with his selection of offerings, and the guys browsed the pieces with a back-to-school shopping type of enthusiasm. And the evening got even sweeter for shoppers when they were gifted with a Gant by Michael Bastian tote teeming with goodies for guys.

While the weather was balmy, the ambiance felt positively autumnal. Guests snacked on beer and mini burgers and had no problems slipping into the label’s laidback vibe. Ad campaign model Eduardo Ramos showed off his college pride. “I played lacrosse all throughout school and the collection is lacrosse-themed, so it's perfect.” Then he lifted up his shirt, as onlookers stared wide-eyed…to reveal, another shirt underneath. “See? I even wore my team t-shirt from Ursinus College to prove it!”
