Heart Truths at the Hammerstein

(NEW YORK) That annual splash of red, arguably filled with the boldest looks to flounce down the runway on any given day, hit Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom last night for the Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection show. Everything seemed to go according to plan: celebs in crimson! An endearing catwalk spill or two! (cue: Rosie McGowan's near-fall; Christie Brinkley's fumble.) A bit of feverish sardine-can-syndrome on the tapis rouge! Ringing in a decade of looks rendered in red, at the latest Heart Truth turn-out: Gloria Estefan stunned in Narciso Rodriguez; Minka Kelly donned DvF; Chaka Khan was clad in Chris March; and Brinkley showed up in (and posing avec!) Pamella Roland. The Heart Truth partnered with Million Hearts, a national initiative aiming to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes by 2017. Keep it up, cheris! The frockery also included a parade of fiery frocks by Jason Wu, Alberta Ferretti, Marchesa, et al. Requisite "awww" moment of the eve: Debbie Phelps, also donning Pamella Roland, stopping in the middle of the runway for a bisou with son Michael Phelps. Precious.
