Great Scott!

(NEW YORK) Why sip champagne with models when you can celebrate your fashion show with a rave? Jeremy Scott threw a rager at Good Units inside the Hudson Hotel where the entire bleacher-flanked room shook from the insane speaker system and the crowd chowed down on Ben and Jerry’s while sipping Belvedere. This was not your normal fashion party, but then again, this is Jeremy Scott. “I’ve never seen so many hipsters this far uptown before,” joked one reveller, surveying the space.

Scott wandered around the party in a crystal-embellished track suit from his Adidas line with friends Terry Richardson and Peaches Geldof. Around midnight Santigold, Amanda Blank and Spank Rock took to the stage for a high-energy performance that had the crowd going nuts. After the performances, Leigh Lezark threw on panda-shaped headphones and the Misshapes took over the music. Dance troop House of Dangerkat kept the show going with a style of dance they call a mix of urban, voguing and waacking, a soul train era dance style. “It’s so great to see Jeremy,” Kaiti Dangerkat said. “We’ve done events with him in Paris and we’re friends with the Misshapes. We didn’t get to see the show, but it’s so good to be here.”

The entire evening was documented by L.A. party photographer Mark "The Cobra Snake," who jumped around from the stage to the dance floor to the bar and back again documenting the action. “It’s awesome to have Jeremy back in New York,” The Cobra Snake said stopping for a minute before going back to snapping away. “The collection reminded me of my childhood. Half of the clothes really just make a statement, but he took a lot of good references from the '80s and made them relevant for today. Fashion is his muse!"
